A new addition at The Quiet Site for 2008 is the Camping POD, a timber built, insulated wooden hut specially designed to be used like a tent but with the advantage of it being already set-up on the site, ready for your arrival and use.
Bring all the normal camping gear but do not worry about packing the tent.
Each POD has plenty of headroom and a floor area of approximately 7 square metres – ample space for 2 people or even 2 adults and 2 children. A key feature in the design was to accommodate the variable British weather, culminating in a POD with ample ventilation for the hot days and lambswool insulation for those chillier times - a wooden ‘tent’ for all situations. An added benefit of a POD is that it offers a level of security not normally available with a traditional tent; they have lockable patio doors, and the peace of mind that brings for many people.
The Quiet Site PODS are a simple progression from the holiday under canvas; they offer a convenient alternative to the tent but retain all the ambiance of the ‘camping holiday’.
All you need to bring is your camping gear - minus the tent. Those staying in a Pod can take advantage of all the other site facilities.
What does it cost?
One nights Pod camping costs from £30 per Pod.
The Quiet Site Camping POD has a number of benefits for the visitor:
Already set-up when you arrive.
More privacy and security than a tent.
No wind whipping or flapping to keep you awake.
No putting up and taking down of wet tents.
A decking area for dining, sunbathing and chilling out.
A guaranteed dry place should the weather get a little damp.
The Quiet Site POD – a little bit more comfort in a ‘camping’ holiday.
